Introduction
Physiotherapy proves effective in the management and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and is essential to prevent an acute problem becoming chronic.
Both physiotherapy and massage are holistic treatments tailored to fit your individual needs.
What to expect from an appointment?
The initial appointment starts with the consultation. I will need to ask you some questions about your symptoms, your medical history and lifestyle; any current problems or concerns that you may have can also be discussed. (Please note that any questions outside of my scope of practice may not be answered and I shall refer you to your GP or another health professional.) Looking at your posture and movement of the joints and muscles is also an important part of the assessment. The first session usually takes one hour and the follow up sessions are 45 minutes. The amount of follow ups depends on the complexity of your symptoms, however, it is recommended to attend 1 - 6 weekly sessions to ensure the best outcomes of the treatment.
